Materials Used:
- Facial Cutouts
- Paper with Face Print or Drawing
- Glue Stick
How to Create the Colour My Hair ACTIVITY
For the face:
- Draw out a face: use crayons to fill it up and a marker for the outline.
- I made some digital faces and took black and white prints of it.These faces are simple, and can be drawn too.
- You just make a simple circle
- Even simpler, keep a blank page and let your child’s imagination run wild.
Facial Parts:
- Cutouts from: Printouts, Magazines, Newspaper, As many as you like.
- I separated them and kept them in different containers (you can just mix them up too – an extra step in the activity)
Glue Stick:
My 3yo now loves gluing (overdoes it sometimes) I usually give her the glue stick so she can do it herself and work on the pincer grip and hand eye co ordination
The cutting prep work may seem time consuming, but it will all be worth it in the end.
